Usually I am not in situations in which someone who uses his or her cellphone disturbs me. However, I most likely feel this way because in most social situations that I am in it is appropriate to use one’s cellphone. As a teenager, my friends and I often spend time talking to each other on our cellphones, we call friends and ask them if they want to come watch a movie with us or what the homework is. Using one’s cellphone is a means of communication that we use all the time. In Japan some people spend over a hundred dollars; calling, text messaging and playing games a year. The disturbance isn’t caused by cellphones, but by its users. People who find themselves in situations where a conversations disturbs them, or someone using their cellphones by, for example, playing ring tones is the fault of the user and not the cellphone.
It would be appropriate to have laws that forbid the usage of cellphones while driving, because doing so is hazardous. Most car accidents occur because of driver negligence and talking on your cellphone while driving is a form of driving negligence
I had lots of experiences when someone was talking on the phone in the library or in a church. It is very disturbing to me that they don’t care about how they are bothering other people. I tell that person to go out and talk if the person is under my age, but if the person is an adult, then I just have to wait for him to end his call. I usually didn’t use my phone in a public area unless it was an emergency. There are some solutions that I suggest. One, the government should make a rule that only some places are allowed to use the cell phone jammer. Places like a library, church or places that the government has allowed will be good. But using a jammer to put pranks on other people or for their own benefit should be fined or sent to jail. I absolutely oppose to the idea of banning the idea of using cell phones in the car. Everyone would have used their phones in their cars at least once. People can receive emergency calls while driving.

I am not usually in a situation where someone using his phone to phone someone disturbs me, but I am often in situations where my brother's phone really gets on my nerves when he continuously plays music on it. If this happens I usually ask my brother to turn his phone off or plug in headphones, but he barely ever does. I sometimes use my phone in an annoying way, by playing music, but that is very rare. Most of the time I listen to my Mp3, it has a much better sound quality than my phone (which got stolen last week!!!). I believe that there is not solution for the problem about people putting on their music on their phones unless you forbid it and make a law saying that you can’t listen to music unless you have earphones and are using them. I also believe that having a law that forbids you for driving while using a cell phone. There are so many accidents in which people died because of the use of phones that there should definitely be a law about driving with a cell phone in use. I know that in Germany that law already exist and I am shocked that it doesn't exist in some places!

This situation in which someone is calling me on my cellphone to disturb me I have experienced it before but not anymore. The way I react to this situation is not really violently but as it goes on it gets more annoyingly. When I get called several times in the weekend I don’t get mad because I like speaking with friends and talking about what happened that day or if he wants to come over. I usually call friends to ask for what the homework was if I was absent. I don’t use my cell phone for prank calling people because I think it’s morally wrong. (My cellphone got broken anyways) I once prank call a friend because I found out he prank called me. I usually get prank called by friends just for jokes but the thing is that I regularly notice the person’s voice.
I would suggest that countries keep all the information’s like names, address ect of all the people who buy cell phones and share this information with the police. So if someone prank calls or commits any other criminal acts, would be caught. I think this rule has probably been used in some countries. I believe that you should have laws that forbid using a cellphone while driving because most of the accidents in driving are caused by drunk driving and talking on the cellphone while driving.

I never usually find myself in uncomfortable situations when other people disturb me with their cell phones. If it did happen though, I didn't react at all, I just waited and didn't say or do anything else. I try never to use my cellphone in places or ways that might disturb others, and I don't think that I have ever disturbed anyone with a call. I would suggest that it should be forbidden to use cellphones in places where a lot of people are together in small spaces. It would be very appropriate to have laws that forbid using a cellphone while driving because that's how most car accidents happen these days.
On several different occasions I have found myself staring at a person who is speaking on their phone obnoxiously; which irritates me a lot. When I find someone on the phone at the wrong time; i.e. dinner, movie, meeting, driving, important conversation, etc, I usually stare at them then shout at them for acting ignorant of the situation. I usually get very irritated and embarrassed, even when it’s not me. Sometimes my mother calls me during a movie five or six times so I decided to answer; but only in Jordan is that acceptable, I would never do that in the states. I try to keep myself from answering my phone during any type of dinner, a meeting, class, and conversations that require attention and focus on serious matters. Rather than answer the phone, send a message which is quiet and discreet. Also wait until you can get out of the inappropriate situation or ask for a second to answer the call only if it is important, not if it is something stupid like your friend wanting to go out this weekend. In my opinion, having it illegal to make calls and drive at the same time is completely in line and should be enforced everywhere, from the states, to the Middle East.
I’ve found that the most frequent time for people to use cellphones in a manner that disturbs others is during movies, drama productions, and presentations. I’m not the kind of person to tell someone to stop using their cellphone; however, I do usually stare at the person until they feel uncomfortable and stop talking. I usually try not to use my cellphone in way that it might disturb others by having my conversations away from a group of people or by going into another room, or by turning my phone off completely when it’s not needed. I don’t really believe this is a “problem” in the context of cellphones since it is simply a matter of etiquette, respect, and good manners on both sides (cell phone users vs. vigilantes), which can’t be forced on a person. However, in order to avoid this “battle,” cellphone users who are disturbing a certain number of people should be treated by the law in the same way that those who “disturb the peace” are. However, I do agree that certain laws should be instilled to forbid cellphone usage while driving since it can become a distraction and a hazard for the user and those around him/her.
There not to many situations in which I find my self next to or with a person that has bad cell phone manners. The biggest times that I find myself in these situations is at the airport. However I am not sure I am one to be talking, because I am not quite sure if I am loud when I talk on my cell phone. I would generally just ignore it because usually these things don’t bother me. I think that when I get exited when I am on the phone I get louder than usual however no one yet has told me that my cell phone behaviour was inappropriate. For dealing with the simple issue of volume I would politely ask the person. However I do like the ideas of the jammers to be in use as a “no cell phone area” this is much more sensible, it is like what they do in the movie theatre, they cut off all cell phone reception so you don’t receive calls or messages during the movie. I think that the law of having a cell phone jam while driving is not the best situation. If you are in your car and are being followed then you aren’t going to pull over get out and then call a friend for instance, you would want to be able to do this while you are driving. It is not a very smart idea in case of an emergency where you are not in a position to get out of the car!

I don't frequently find myself disturbed by people talking on the phone. I don't even notice it when they're disturbing others; that might be because of the fact that I talk loudly on the phone sometimes. If somebody does annoy me while he/she is talking on the phone, I'd keep hinting at how they should really stop. I would probably make noises and talk to somebody loudly so they would get the message. I probably use my cell phone and disturb others although I don't usually notice. I think the only solution there is is to have people talk quietly on their phones so they won't disturb others; there isn't another way of solving this problem. There shouldn't be any laws that forbid talking on the phone in public because that would be absurd.

I don’t usually find my self in this sort of situation. However, if I do get caught in the situation I usually fume to my self but I let the other guy not realize that I’m mad at him/her. I don’t talk loudly when I’m on the phone but sometimes the person on the other line seems to scream into headset which may annoy some people. This is because my volume is too high. I suggest that people should try and use their phones only in private and other people should try and avoid people when they’re on their phone. I think that it is very appropriate to have laws that forbid the use of cell-phones while driving. The person driving would have more chance of having an accident than a person not using their phone. The driver with the phone would be more concentrated on the conversation and the driver would only have one hand on the steering wheel so if he had to make a sharp turn, he wouldn’t be able to.

Usually I’m not in situations were a person and his cell phone disturb me, although sometimes I’m in a situation were my sister listens to music on here cell phone and it starts to get annoying. In most cases when some one does disturb me using his/her cell phone I would ask them nicely to stop or try my best to ignore them. Occasionally I would use my cell phone to annoy people by playing an annoying song or repeating the same song over and over again, but almost never. In addition, most of the time I’m listen to music on my cell phone, I’m using headphones. I believe there is no solution for this problem except making a law that forbids cell phones in public area’s. I believe that the way the things are should stay the same, but a law that should be approved is no texting while driving, due to the many deaths and car accidents over the past years from texting and driving.
