As a regular of technology you are probably comfortable doing things on the Web. Soon you will have opportunities to have credit cards, debit cards, checking accounts, etc. The opportunity for online shopping should give you cause to pause and think. This week’s article provides information and advice for people who shop online or would like to consider doing it. Go to the link below and read the article. Write a reflective comment that shows you have read the article, expresses your views, and addresses my questions.
Do you intend to shop online? How popular will shopping online become? Will people stop going to stores? I learned several new things by reading this article. What did you learn? Share two or three items from the article with your parents. Were you able to teach them something new? Which of the online forms of payment seems the most risky and why?

Yes I do intend to shop online. I think that shopping online will become even more popular in the next few years. I do not think that people will stop going to stores. I learned that it isn't the safest to shop at stores you got to on spam. My parents already knew about the things described in the article. The most risky type of online payment, I think, is using sites that are not certified. I think this because you are more likely to get ripped off and get your credit card number stolen.
If the mall is trusty, then I intend to shop onlline. I think shopping online is already popular as it is fast and easy. However, I don't think people will stop going to stores. Of course online shopping is faster and easier. But in online shopping there is a risk to take. First, there are security problems while they are purchasing, as there are many online hackers. Second, you don't know the real model in online. Some products look better in the picture such as devices and cloths. My parents were already aware of the items, and they often use online shopping. For me, as I heard many hacking, credit card seems to be the most risky, although in the article, it says "the strongest protection". Because although you have protection, there is a way to hack as many crimes shows.
Yes, I do intend to shop online when I have my own debit cards/ credit cards for internet shopping. I think that more people will start to shop online in the future because the number of people doing internet shopping is increasing every year. As the article says, last year 92 million people bought things online using credit cards. So, I think it will increase next year as well as years afterwards. I don't think that people will stop going to stores because you can't get everything with credit cards for example if you want to get a hotdog or something from a nearby hotdog stand, you can't get that online. I would never shop everything from the internet because I think that it is fun to go out and get something rather than getting every thing on a click. Besides, I don't want to be lazy depending on the computer for almost everything. I learned that it is easier to use credit cards to buy something from the internet but doing that is not always secure. There could be hackers or people who can steal your account number or plant malware on your computer etc. To do that, we should use anti viruses like Mac fee etc. We should also make sure that the "http" appears on the address bar that indicates that digital transmission from the site are being encrypted. These are some basics that I learned from the Article. My parents don't internet shop so they don't really care. I think the most risky online form of payment is Credit Cards. As described by the article, hackers have a higher chance of getting to steal your account number through malware. On the other two forms, you can get your money refunded from the bank if you claim that your account has been hacked within some days. I don't think that that is possible in case of Credit cards. So I think that is the most risky form of online payment.
I do not usually shop online and I would if I could but I am not allowed to. I think that online shopping will become way more popular but it is extremely easy to do now and many people do it already although I doubt that people will stop going to stores, as it will still be the quickest way to do so. My family already know about the risks of online shopping through our own experience, hence why I am not allowed to use online shopping unless essential. The most risky sites are sites from other countries, example United Kingdom to America, Chine to United Kingdom. I agree with my own family and think that unless you are extremely careful, you will get your credit number stolen, mabey alot more money than just whats in your credit card.
No, because I don't quite know how to give credit card information without risking identity fraud. I think the more that credit cards and other online forms of payment are used, then online shopping will become more popular. people won't stop going to stores because it is extremely illogical to buy fruit online. I learned that following links that you find on spam is very risky. My parents did not find anything in the article very surprising. I was not able to teach them something new. Giving credit card details seem the most risky form of online payment because the companies could take out as much money as they want.
I do actually shop online occasionally with my parents for items I cannot buy here in Jordan (for example, I purchase books and video games online), and I plan to do so in the future once I get my own credit card and job. I feel that for certain things, online shopping will be very popular, but at the same time, people will still want to “try before they buy”, and they will probably not stop going to clothing or food stores, for example. In this article, I learned several ways to identify potential online scams, many of which were subtler than I previously thought. For example, I did not know that there was a difference between http and https in the URL bar. I also learned a lot about the risks of using a debit card online. When I discussed online shopping with my parents, I learned quite a bit about how they tend to shop online. They prefer the use of credit cards, because they know that it would be easier to recover their money or freeze their cards by simply calling the company if they think that someone is misusing their credit card information. Furthermore, they tend to only shop on larger online shopping services like Amazon.com, where it is more likely that scammers and thieves will be identified. Additionally, on these sites, they only buy from the merchants with the highest ratings. They did not know the different ways to identify potential scammers outside of Amazon, but they would not consider purchasing products not sold on the Amazon service anyway. Furthermore, they are somewhat dismissive of PayPal and other payment services, because they are aware, as the article states, that it is generally easier to recover lost money from a credit card rather than one of these services. To me, the riskiest form of payment would be a debit card, because I am essentially opening my bank account to a complete stranger and asking them to take only a certain amount of money.
Yes I do intend to shop online. Online shopping will become very popular. People will always go to stores to try on things and see them first hand. I learned that the internet isn't as safe as we think. No I was not able to teach them something new. When we buy games and stuff that is cheaper then normal because it most possibly is a scam.
