I think that it can be interesting working with multiple generations. It will be interesting to find out about their views and share our views with them on any job that we are in. I believe on most of what's said in the article but there are some points that might not be applicable in some countries rather than Canada. Since, Canada is already developed, it may become successful on attaining some of the points such as "offices will be where we say it is" and "Social media will be the community halls of the future". I don't think that it will be applicable for some developing countries. I will give an example from India. In India, there are some villages that are not even aware of what a computer or internet is. People aren't that educated to find out what it is. So, even if things are developed by the next 10 years, such places may just as well find out what a computer is and how the internet works. So, I think that the predictions may be applicable for Canada and some other developed countries. It may take more time on some developing countries. I am looking forward for the prediction that says office will be where we say it is. I think that will make work more easier. If you are unable to go to office for some reason, you can just link the office from home or anywhere else and still stay on task. The prediction that scares me is that people will be linked to work 24/7 whether they want to or not. I would never want to work that long for anything. I would indeed want some time for myself. So that prediction scares me the most. There are some predictions that I don't believe in. Such as... We will be linked to work 24/7, the office will be where we say it is, Social media will be the community halls of the future. First of all the prediction with the 24/7 work time, I don't think that it will be for all sorts of jobs. People who are school teachers or shopkeepers, may not work 24/7. They might work just part of the day. The other one is offices will stay where we say it is. I don't think that will be applicable for some developing countries like I said above. Same with the Social Media Prediction. In the next 10 years, I think developed countries will become crowded with migrates. Taking the example of Toronto, people from other developing countries are moving there for better job opportunities. That could lead to less job opportunities in developed countries.
I think it will be fun working with everyone else in the world, but complicated at the same time. I belive almost everything in this article, especially when talking about the developing countries, but i also think that it is more aplicable for the first world countries. I think that when the offices turn out to be in many more places, it shall be an advantage. I do not want to work 24/7...I would want more lesuire time to my self.
I think working with multiple generations will be okay. The predictions are applicable to other countries. The predictions that I am looking forward to the most is Virtual companies. The prediction that scares me the most is Management will be pushed down and out. A prediction that I think will not happen is Teamwork will be a learned skill, not just a nice attitude. My predictions for jobs and the workplace in the next ten years is that there will be more jobs and a lot of people will be working from home, because of the internet.
I believe that working with multiple generations will be both a blessing and a curse. I feel that it will be beneficial in terms of the presence of experienced veterans in the office, but at the same time, I feel that the generational gap will cause some problems with communication. I believe that the predictions in regard to race will not be as applicable in the US, because I am aware of increasing trends of white migration to cities in the United States. However, I feel that the rest of the predictions are generally spot on. None of these predictions are particularly frightening to me, and in fact, I believe that the increased ability to work wherever one wants would be very positive, because I would like the option to work more flexibly. I believe that workflow will become less centralized as time passes, and that the use of social networking and cloud computing will increase to help facilitate communication amongst people scatter throughout various locations. However, I feel that some method of getting people who are otherwise far away physically to do their work on time will be necessary, as many people may use that opportunity to dodge work.
In my opinion, it working with various generation would be interesting, although it would probably cause the generation gap. Prediction that the office will be where we say it is, is great because I think that shows the characteristic of the future world and the prediction that shows jobless probability is scary because it seems like new world doesn't need people for the work. But I don't think the minority will be white, because immigration problem has been issued from long time ago, and as it didn't change the figure of our society, it won't have big difference. In the next ten years, many jobs going to be unnecessary as the digital replaces it.
I will enjoy working with multiple generations. The predictions should be applicable for most Commonwealth countries. I am looking forward to people being able to only have to go a little distance to work. I am scared of computers controlling our lives and eventually replacing us humans. I believe that most of the predictions will not happen. I believe that people will soon be unable to escape from work because the computers will follow them.
I think it is a good idea to work with multiple generations. I do believe everything in this article because it looks like a reliable source. The prediction that scares me the most is management will forced out. I believe them all. I think that people will have less jobs because of the state this world is in.
