No the sales were not surprising to me. I have played Grand Theft Auto before and i love it. I definitely intend on buying Grand Theft Auto IV. I don't really consider myself as an avid game player because i don't play much. I don't think i would give up anything for a computer game because i play them but not much. I don't think these games are addictive and no i don't have any addicted friends. To take a break from studying i enjoy going on the computer, watching television, or going out.

The results of the new figures were not surprising. As the human population grows, there is going to be higher demand for products-especially entertainment products, and entertainment industry rarely suffers a downturn. I have played previous versions of GTA and would like to purchase this new version, as I prefer playing on computers than on other game consoles. I would give up my month’s pocket money, cut down or stop other expenses-except food of course-to get a video game I like. I would agree, there are some games that can be very addictive, and I know a few people who are addicted gamers. I play computer games, listen to music or go out when I want to relax from studying.

The reports weren't really surprising because I am part of the world-wide consumers of video games and thus I already expect the sales to be great and expanding. As for playing Grand Theft Auto, if you have not played it yet, you must not be part of this world. I have played almost every version of Grand Theft Auto, from London to San Adreas. As for buying Grand Theft Auto IV, it's just a matter of time, because I plan on getting my hands on that game. Obviously I am an avid computer game player, it is the only way that I can escape from the responsibilities of life, and I am willing to give most anything for a game that hits home. These games are addictive, I myself am a self-proclaimed Diablo II junkie, and all of my friends are addicted to the games that suite them better like Halo or Hitman. As for the last question, I think it's already obvious. I play a video game.

Of course I am not surprised. That number will even grow ever year. The more games there are the more people will want to buy them and the more software will be available for those games. Yes, I have played GTA before and have recently played GTA4. No, I don’t really care that much about games. At this age I have more important things to do like study, or to go out with friends. Not really, an avid player I’m not. I don’t play games that much. If I want to play a game than I am seriously bored or I am waiting for someone. At the moment I wouldn’t give up anything because I personally couldn’t care less about computer games. If I was an addict like I was before, than I would probably just look for something valuable I have to give up in order for me to get that game. Oh yes, these games are strongly addictive. If a person gets to play a game that he likes, than slowly he starts playing it more and more and the addiction will grow. I personally was addicted to a strategic computer game a while ago. No, I have no addict friends, other than the fact that I was one. To take a break from studying I like to watch T.V or just walk around the house and get a drink or something to eat.

I am a self proclaimed video game addict. I mean, just two weekends ago, I shelled out around 100 dollars on video games to play online. I try around 2 hours of gaming time daily. I think it's not shocking at all that people are still buying games despite the bad economy.I mean, it's not like we've stopped buying bread because it's expensive. We just learn to control it. People have learned to control their game shopping that's why they haven't stopped buying. See, if you buy to many games at once, it's a sensory overload. You won't ever finish the game or anything, you'll just play through the beginnings of each one and that's it. Yet if you space it, you get more bang for your buck. Which is why I still see them as steadily moving on. As for GTA IV, it's a heavily demanded game. The GTA series is truly a behemoth in the video gaming world. As for my opinion? I get tired of it all to quickly. I mean, sure, the huge open world is nice to play with and all however, after the first few days it loses its appeal. As for the missions, I find them dry. The detail and graphics that go in to the game though, is no doubt in first place. The GTA's have always been known to be grand in the detail area. I won't be buying the game unless it comes out for the computer as I'm not a huge fan of the current state of PS3's and XBOX360's. I think in a couple years time, the PS3 will be great and then will I buy it because then the game makers will have known what they are detailing with and can fully exploit it.
Me? I'd give up a lot for a video game. I adore them all to much. Me and my friends in the states actually keep in touch through video games. The gaming client Steam is supposedly the future of gaming sales for computers, you purchase the game to your account and can download it from there. I play Counterstrike:Source and Team Fortress 2 online with my friends. It's great for keeping in touch and competing online.

The reports of software and equipment sales over the past year weren’t that surprising. Video games became very easily available these days. Thus this number will surely continue to increase as demands are also increasing sharply. I have played Grand Theft Auto, but I’m not a great fan of it. I wouldn’t purchase the latest version of it this type of games bore me. I used to be an avid computer game player, but I easily get tired of them recently. I would probably give up my monthly pocket money to get a computer game I really crave. Most of the games are addictive, and some people are likeier to get addicted.
I usually take a nap as a break. I play video games for entertainment rather than relaxation.

Obviously not, the gaming industry will not stop growing. This is due to the fact that the more the games advance in a technological way, the more people it attracts because it would offer more fun. I've played GTA but i don't intend on buying its latest version. I consider myself an occasional PC gamer. I wouldn't give up anything in exchange to playing a game. But, if i truly wanted to play a game, I'd get a job, make sure i can afford paying for the game. Yes i do agree games can get addicting. I've had quite a couple of friends addicted to games before, and as they played, they didn't notice their life was slipping away from them, from both social and school perspectives. Well in this school, you cant seem to get a break. But if i did have a chance, I'd really enjoy a good nap.

I don't think the sales were surprising at all. I haven't played Grand Theft Auto IV before, but I've definitely heard a lot about it. I don't intend to purchase the game, just because I know that I won't be playing it consistently enough to make the money spent worth it, but I do intend to play it one of these days. Therefore I wouldn't consider myself an avid computer game player because I don't play games constantly. Because I don't necessarily want any computer games, I wouldn't give up anything to purchase a game that I really want. When I have played games in the past though, they do get me addicted to a point where I don't want to stop playing even if I have a phone call. I don' think any of my friends are addicted to computer games, but if they are, more power to them. When I have free time, I enjoy getting on Facebook, talking to friends, going out, shopping, or occasionally reading an interesting book that I bought.

Yes! The reports of the software and equipment sales over the past year are very surprising. I don’t know how anyone can hate GTA, I love Grand Theft Auto. It’s full of adventure and surprises. I wouldn’t purchase Grand Theft Auto IV only because I’m sure one of my friends will purchase it and I’ll just borrow or play the game from them. No I don’t play computer games. I play GTA on PS3/PS2. I wouldn’t do anything. I would rather buy something else more useful than give up something to buy a computer game. Yes I do agree that games are addictive, even if they’re not computer games (example: video games). I have to admit I have friends who are obsessed with playing Solitaire (yes the boring card game) but it’s true and it can be addictive at times. As a form of relaxation I drink Starbucks, or even just listen to music.

I was not surprised to hear that the sales were high. It is somewhat obvious because everybody is obsessed with electronics now a days. I have never played Grand Theft Auto and I do not intend to purchase it. I would not consider myself an avid computer game player but I would consider myself to be an avid video game player. I would probably be willing to give up 40 JD for a game that I really wanted. If it was not one that I really wanted I would probably only give up 25 or 30 JD. I think that computer games and other video games are very addictive, and some of my friends are addicted to them. I like to watch T.V. or play video games to relax.

I think that the results were not surprising at all. of course I have played grand theft auto it used to be my favorite game for both me and my brother although it was kind of inappropriate, and I will probably buy the new edition because it is a fun game, I don't really consider my self an avid game player because I will never give up my time and studies just to play a game, but I would probably give up my money for a game I really wanted to buy but that's it. I don't think that those games are really addictive because its not that interesting or exciting. I have a lot of friends that are addicted to Halo 3, I think I would enjoy watching TV, or playing Playstation but that's when I am really bored.

The reports were not surprising to me, since consumers aren't spending their money on records anymore. I have not played Grand Theft Auto, and I have no intention to buy it's fourth incarnation. I've never played a video game before. I would give up almost nothing for a computer game. These games probably are addictive, and I think I can understand the appeal. I don't think any of my friends have caught the bug though. I like to read books and listen to music to relax.

The results did not shock me, I expected more. Yes, I have played grand theft auto. Yes, I will probably try it soon. No, I don’t consider my self much of a gamer. I don’t think I would give anything for a computer game, my goal is to be on the high honor roll, and i will not let a computer game get in my way. I think games like that are addictive, because one of my cousins can not leave the computer when it comes to a game like GTA, his average time is three hours a day. I enjoy taking showers when done studying; talking on the phone also helps.

As a semi-retired “videogameholic”, I don’t find these sales surprising. In fact, I was expecting a soar in sales this year following the release of the PlayStation 3. The PlayStation console has been the most successful console to date. The PlayStation’s simple controls and flexible game play gives kids around the world a simple boost of happiness when they beat a certain goal that can’t be achieved with any other toy. The release of the fourth installment of the Grand Theft Auto series has been the best news I have heard this year. Just hearing about the game makes the hairs on my back stand up. I have grown up with the Grand Theft Auto series. The sheer freedom this game gives its players is indescribable. When Grand Theft Auto 3 Liberty City was released, it reinvented the gaming world. It added a new genre of game play where the gamer controls what the main character will do. Then when Grand Theft Auto Vice City was released, it fixed some of the bugs and issues faced. This was and still is my favorite game of all time. The flexibility and freedom it gives you is very scary. Also, with the many mini-games within Vice City, it gives the gamer a unique experience every time. Then, Rockstar released Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, which is another improvement to the older games. It gives the gamer another million more things to do in the city. Also, it improved the game play by giving the gamers the ability to play around with the main character. This gave every gamer a somewhat unique player to go around the city in. Now, with the release of Grand Theft Auto 4, I am expecting lots of new improvements. First, it has been released on the XBOX 360 and the PlayStation 3. This means that the graphics will be greatly revolutionized. Also, I have heard that for the first time, Rockstar has decided to add a multiplayer mode to the game. This gives me the chance to roam the city with my friends from around the world. I hope the game play mechanics will be as good as the projected graphics because I can’t wait to get my hands on this game. I think this game is very addictive because it is a unique game. No other game in the world can match up to the Grand Theft Auto series. Personally, I am ready to give up most of the electronics in my house for this video game because I feel that it is going to be one of the best video games on the PlayStation 3 and it will revolutionize the video gaming industry.

Indeed, the reports of software and equipment sales over the past year surprised me because I had no idea that they had this much impact on the economy. Yes, I have played Grand Theft Auto few years ago. Depending on the review of experts, I might purchase Grand Theft Auto IV. I barely play computer games so I do not consider myself as an avid computer game player. I would not give up anything that is important to me to purchase a computer game because I barely play computer games. Games such as Grand Theft Auto can be addictive. Sometimes, I enjoy as a form of relaxation to take a break from studying.

I was not surprised at all with the software and equipment sales over the past year; I actually expected them to be higher. Despite the fact that the economy isn’t doing so well, people are still willing to sacrifice essential things in order to afford gaming equipment. After the rampage that happened when the PS3 was released, it’s safe to say some people would risk their lives to get their hands on the latest software and equipment. When Grand Theft Auto first came out, my older brother bought it right away. I would sit and watch him play all the time, and sometimes we’d we up till dawn. The game was so interesting and exciting that I started playing it too. Instantly I was addicted. I would stay up all night playing it and looking for cheats online to help me out through the game. I enjoyed playing GTA but I quickly got over my obsession with it. I don’t think I’m an avid game player because I only play video games in the summer when I have nothing to do late at night. However, these games are really addicting, especially to be people who have a lot of time on their hands or who are willing to put gaming at the top of their priorities. I don’t think I would sacrifice anything for a video game. I don’t mind trying new video games for fun, but I don’t care about them bad enough to sacrifice anything for a video game. I’d rather buy a shirt than a video game. A lot of my friends and my younger brother are addicted to video games, especially the game Counter Strike. To get away from studying I usually go on MSN and Facebook or I watch TV, I love watching TV.

No, I play video games and so do a lot of other teenage boys as well as adults. Yes I have and I enjoy playing it a lot. I do expect to buy the new Grand Theft Auto. No, I play video games a lot but I wouldn't consider myself as an avid player. I wouldn't give up a lot to purchase a computer game that I really want. Yes I do agree that these kinds of games are addictive but after you have completed them the addiction ends. No, I don't have any friends who are addicted to video games. When I want to relax I turn on the TV and take a nap.

No not really, I have a fourteen-year-old brother who gets more excited about that game than his birthday, so I really understand the mentality. No, I have never played it and in no time ever intend to watch people playing it let alone purchasing it. I do play computer games though, but I don’t think Solitaire and Crazy Taxi compare to that game. I wouldn’t give up anything to buy a video game. I agree that these games are addictive, but that is only because I have seen so many people addicted to them, not because I have ever experienced it. Yes I do have some friends that are addicted to video games, and I don’t really understand why. To me these video games are the perfect example of everything wrong with our society. They glorify every type of horrific violence into a simple form of ‘if you kill people, you’re going to get points’. The economy is not the issue here; it is society that is the primary cause of this unnaturally sickening epidemic. In my free time music is my relaxation and it is just as much of an addiction as video games, but clearly not as appalling.
